In this book I honestly don't undertand why the women wear a veil over there face that show only their eyes.The children int his story definetly took he veils as a joke . Her mom atcually had to go in disguise bcause she was caught rebelling against the veil. Marjane wants to be a propghet and she sit and "talks and sees God" but the society now had changed and she got in trouble for saying that.Marjane had long discussions with God everynigh but when a conversation about being a prophet came up she asked to change the subject.She probably just said that because she felt guilty or ashamed for denying him to her parents.Eventually,her parents decided that she was old enough to know the truth and that the books were wrong,that God had nothing to do with anything. She learned that her grandfathers father was a prince and how her mother was always afraid of the police taking her family away.Basically the book is writtin like a comic with pictures and speech bubbles.Overall its a good book so far that grabs your attention.

This is about how people judge others based on there appearence ro assume what kind of person they are by observation. For example, lets say there is a person with a deformity and your like eww he/she is ugly. In actuality who are to judge wethere someone is pretty or not ,beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you think is ugly is beautiful to someone else,theres someone for everyone.Another example could be looking at a person on how they dress or how they carry theirself and you automatically not like them or paint a picture in your head about who you think they are.Remeber, assuming makes you the first three letters of that word. No ones perfect everyone has flaws wethere its inside or out.You talking about how someones ugly on the outside when your showing how ugly you are on the inside. Maybe if we all tried to be a little less judgemental we could see the beauty in everyone wethere its outside or in ,or both, instead of looking for imperfection.Its kind of natural to judge based on what you see,unfortunately bad habitats aren't easily broken.

The Whale Rider

Last week I watched this movie called Whale Rider.Basically, this movie was about a dad whos wife and son died but only his daughter survived he was really sad so he moved away. The daughter lived with the grandpa but he didnt like her because the son was supposed to be the leader of the tribe.So when the time came to pick a leader the daughter,Pikea, kept trying to practice because she wanted to learn but he was being stubborn.The grandma and uncle ended up showing her the stuff she needed to know but all the soon to be tribe leaders falied the test and she didnt .Any,way the movie ended with her riding the whale and he took her down too far and she drowned (yes,I cried )but SHE SURVIVED and was the tribe leader. This was a very touching movie and  I felt where pikea was coming from and the granfather.I still dont know why she tried to kill herself though,probably because she was sad.Well,it was a great movie that I would watch again.

Who Could It Be..

Some say the crazy dont know their crazy,if that is true how do you realize that you could be the one at fault?Do you stay in denial and think that it's not you it's the other person or do you have a open mind and look at the entire situation instead of seeing it in the way where you are right?Remember there are 3 sides to every story,one side,the second side, and the truth.For example,lets say there are two people arguing and cursing one another.No matter who started it,when you respond in the same manner you are just as foolish as the other but your calling her out of her name and saying shes crazy.So,if someone came and disrespected you how would you respond?Would you tell her off and defend yourself or would you just walk away and ignore the ignorance youve been confronted with.Now ,the question is who's the one thats crazy..could it be you?
